How to Get the Most from a 15-Day CRM Free Trial

A week-by-week checklist for a 15-day CRM trial: explore sample data, add real customers, build a pipeline, send a quote, invite your team and decide.

Fifteen days sounds generous until the first week disappears into meetings and site visits. Many teams sign up for a trial, click around for ten minutes, forget about it and conclude later that the tool was not for them. A little structure changes that. Use the plan below to turn a trial into a real decision.

Before you start: define what success looks like

Take five minutes to write down what you want a CRM to fix. Perhaps follow-ups get forgotten, quotes take too long, or nobody sees the whole pipeline. Three clear goals give you something to test against, so at the end you are judging results rather than impressions.

Days 1 to 3: explore with sample data

Do not start by typing in your customer list. First look around. In FieldCo CRM the sample data for your sector loads automatically, so you can open customer cards, move a few cards on the Kanban board, look at a quote and check the calendar. Spend these days learning where things are and how the pieces connect.

Days 4 to 7: add real customers and build your pipeline

Now bring in reality. Enter ten to twenty of your actual customers and leads, including contacts and any custom fields that matter to you. Then set up your pipeline stages to match how you really sell and create a card for each open opportunity. Add a next step with a date to every card. This is where you will feel whether the tool works the way your team thinks.

Days 8 to 10: create your first quote

Add a handful of your real products to the catalog, with prices, VAT and a photo. Then design a quote template with your logo, the columns you need and a signature area, and produce a PDF for one real or realistic customer. Make a change and check that the earlier version is still kept as a revision. Ask yourself whether you would be comfortable sending this quote.

Days 11 to 13: invite teammates and set permissions

A CRM only pays off when the team uses it. Invite two or three colleagues, ideally one skeptical one. Use the role and permission matrix to decide who can see or change customers, quotes and settings, and check that a colleague with limited rights sees what you expect. Ask them to log one real conversation and schedule one follow-up each.

Days 14 and 15: evaluate and decide

Go back to your three goals and check them honestly. Ask your colleagues how it felt to use, and whether anything saved time or exposed a problem. Look at the package that fits your team size: Starter for up to 3 users, Professional for up to 10 with Google Calendar sync and team statistics, or Enterprise for unlimited users.

Cleaning up sample data safely

Once you have finished exploring, remove the sample data so your account holds only your own information. FieldCo CRM has a button to delete sample data, and it never deletes the records you created yourself. You can use it with confidence even if real and sample records sit side by side.

The 15-day trial needs no credit card, so there is nothing to cancel if the answer is no. Start whenever your calendar allows a first free hour, and use the plan above to make the most of the days.
